Case Study 1: University Client

Challenge:
This NC based University was looking for an upgrade in a lecture hall, both technically and environmentally.  This meant totally stripping the room of all furniture and flooring surfaces and giving it a whole-room makeover.  The school engaged Smarter Systems and we designed a fitting AV solution.

Solution: 
This room includes a custom-designed lectern with integrated computer display and touch panel AV system control, multiple projection systems, video conferencing with a professor confidence monitor, document camera, two independent sound systems, and a 6-output press-box microphone feed.

Summary:
One of our most recent projects, a lecture hall, at a Historically Black University, was in need of an upgrade – both environmentally and technically.  This meant totally stripping the room of all furniture and flooring surfaces and giving it a whole-room makeover.  The school engaged Smarter Systems and we designed a fitting AV technology solution. 

Now faced with the discontinuance of analog signals, we designed a hybrid digital/analog solution that accommodated legacy analog connectivity as well as newer digital media sources.  Working with the school’s media services department, we designed a scalable matrix-switching solution that incorporated analog to digital conversion hardware that could later be easily swapped for pure digital sources by simply changing two cables.  This future-proof concept was readily adopted by the school and has become an important consideration of all of Smarter Systems’ room designs.


Case Study 2: Corporate Client

Challenge:
This corporate client, a subsidiary of the largest independent HVAC/R distribution company was searching for a dual function display with Video Conferencing and they needed a vendor that could install and support the solutions nationally.

Solution: 
SBX885ix SMART Board Interactive Whiteboards equipped with SMART Meeting Pro Premium Software and SMART Bridgit Conferencing Software, a SMART GoWire auto launch cable, Co-axial Ceiling Speakers, Training/Change Management package for the training of their employees and a Service Package.

Summary:
Smarter Systems designed and installed conference rooms in their Dallas, New Jersey, Orlando, Charlotte, Raleigh and Richmond locations.  These rooms included SBX885ix SMART Boards, with SMART Meeting Pro and Bridgit Conferencing software.  Smarter Systems also installed audio and video conferencing solutions to allow for collaboration between the 6 locations.  The client was looking for cost savings on travel and more efficient meetings. The client can now collaborate between the 6 locations, without getting on a plane to be in the same room.   The SMART Bridgit Conferencing software allows them to collaborate effortlessly with local and remote meeting participants.  Anyone, local and remote can contribute to the meeting by sharing their desktop to display their own notes or presentations, while others can annotate simultaneously on the information shared on the screen.  Remote training was provided by a Smarter Systems Trainer at the Charlotte location, while the other locations were connected to the training via Meeting Pro Premium Software and Bridgit Conferencing Software.  This client is finding the data collaboration to be critical for their business and hopes to expand the solution to more locations in the future.


Case Study 3: International & Publicly Traded Banking Client

Challenge:
This international, publicly traded banking client was searching for a solution that would help them drive productivity, connect distributed teams and reduce travel costs.

Summary:
The International, Publicly traded bank was searching for a solution that would help them drive productivity, connect distributed teams and reduce costs.  Since many of their teams are geographically dispersed, they were looking for ways to collaborate between locations throughout the country and also between different divisions of the business. Smarter Systems designed and installed over 30 Conference Room Solutions across the United States.  As software security was a serious concern, this solution has no need to install software on the laptop, and no software remains on the laptop when the cable is disconnected.  This is important when the client prefers not to install software or where there is frequent collaboration with guests and clients using their laptops.  With the solution that Smarter Systems designed, they can distribute results and decisions immediately, everyone’s input, whether remote or on-site can be shared, and costs for travel will be reduced. These products are industry leading and they compliment any workspace. The fact that they are mobile allows the client to move around the building to different conference rooms, sharing the connectivity and collaboration throughout the business.
